Chlorine and Sulfur Dioxide

Chlorine and Sulfonators – Gas is metered under vacuum, using diaphragms and an orifice.

Evaporators – For high output, liquid changes to gas in a vessel surrounded by a hot water bath.

Injectors – Gas is dissolved in water under pressure by a venturi effect.

Diffusers – Solution from an injector is fed to a submerged perforated pipe.

Contact Chambers – Chlorinated wastewater travels through baffled tanks for a long detention with no back-mixing.

Generators – Very high voltage converts air or oxygen to ozone inside a chamber.

Feeders – Dry or liquid sodium hypochlorite is metered volumetrically into the wastewater flow.

Contactors – Wastewater flows through chambers containing large numbers of long bulbs, closely spaced.
